35 Interesting Things you *Don’t* need to Know about me

Updated: Dec 7, 2022

Not every bibliophile, copywriter or editor is lounging around with their nose buried in a book or reviewing an essay. Like really. We have other interests/hobbies/pass times and talents.

Still don't believe me?

Here's my little list of things you may or may not want to know about me:

1. I met Cristiano Ronaldo in Nando’s and can confirm he’s a super nice guy.

2. I am an ambivert. I.e. an extrovert, and an absolute introvert; I love my own space, and naturally gravitate towards solitariness.

3. I can easily read people, and always follow my intuition.

4. I'm not a morning person. My evenings are when I go into full-on-sanctuary-mode and I am most creative!

5. My favourite spot in the world is my home country, Palestine. Get me a one way ticket there any time! Nablus, specifically. Ramallah is a little too cosmopolitan and mainstream for my liking.

6. I went Parasailing in Dubrovnik and I didn't find it as thrilling as I would've liked. Maybe I need to add Skydiving to the bucket list?

7. My pet peeves are wailing babies, poor grammar, excessive snoring and people who yatter.

8. I’m the ‘Protagonist (ENFJ)’ in the 16 personality test, and its scarily accurate!

9. In an alternative life, I would be a chef. Like a blank canvas, I like to create art. The blank canvas being the plate, skillet, saucepan.

10. I am an old soul with a youthful spirit (Some TikTok from now and then is nice)! I love the untainted innocence and fearlessness of the young, and the raw wisdom of the old.

11. I like 80s music, Khaled, Lord Huron, Lana Del Rey, the Weekend & any Afrobeat!

12. Horrors don't scare me and romantic movies don't tug at my heartstrings. I expect genuinely crafted, unorthodox storylines and unbeatable chemistry. Sally Rooney's Normal people starring Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar Jones did that impeccably, as well as Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley in Wuthering Heights.

13. I am always wearing my fitbit and like to hit my target of 10k steps (or thereabouts) a day.

14. I am turning into a perfume connoisseur. Notes of warm, earthy wood and balmy ambergris and rich spice are my recent go to.

15. Messi over Ronaldo, all the way. Looks wise, Neymar Jr is a winner. Style, looks and personality. He has it all.

16. At University, I joined the Ladies Rugby team and Yoga society. Oxymoronic right?

17. I am into Martial arts, and believe everyone should learn it.

18. I have a motorway accent, that is a tad 'posh'.

19. My story and love for English was featured in the graduation ceremonies in the UAE.

21. My temperament type is sanguine and Phlegmatic rather than Melancholic and Chloric.

22. Favourite series/movies are Breaking Bad, Peaky Blinders, Poldark, Pride and Prejudice, Asi, Diriliş: Ertuğrul, Black Panther, Normal People, Queens Gambit, Cherry, Forest Gump, Stranger Things, Inception.

23. My favourite city in the UK is London; truly, the most magical labyrinth.

24. According to family and friends, I am naturally comedic and witty.

25. The most beautiful Turkish actress in my opinion is Tuba Büyüküstün. Her exotic features, olive skin, lustrous jet black hair and hazel eyes makes her one of God's favourite.
